Neither the Girls team nor any Girls individuals qualified to advance to the State meet and Alex Welch of the Boys team did not advance either. In the first race of the day, the Girls finished 12th out of 20 teams. As was the case all season, Ashley Orrick (29th - 21:31) was first to finish the 3.1 mile course for the Girls. She was followed by scoring runners Paige Rewerts (50th - 22:26), Kokone Kasaya (79th - 24:03), Keagon Hamilton (99th -24:51) and Emily Orrick (122nd - 26:28). Rounding out the Girls squad was Sarah Kraklow (123rd - 26:29) and Katie Grinnell (142nd - 30:01). In the Boys race, Alex Welch finished in 64th in a time of 18:54. There were 148 finishers in the Girls race and 155 in the Boys. The Rebel XC program will have to say good-bye to their seven seniors. On the Girls side, sisters Ashley and Emily Orrick have been a member for four years. They were on teams that qualified for Sectional all four years and were members of the State qualifying team in 2018. Kokone Kasaya is first year member of the team. She is a foreign exchange student from Japan. She was the Girls number 3 finisher most of the year and provided the team must needed scoring. The Boys team was made up of 4 seniors. Alex Welch was a 4 year member of the team, Colby Carroll and Jack Winans were 3 years members and Jared Prindiville was out only for this year. All these seniors will be great missed.
